Indoor Climbing Walls
...and what if it's been raining for days?
In the Gressoney valley, as well as being able to comfort yourself with excellent traditional cuisine, there are also 2 indoor climbing gyms:
GABY CLIMBING GYM: right in the centre of the village, at the municipal sports hall. Walls about 13 metres high (climbing is top-rope, with ropes already in place). Difficulty from 4 to 7a.
GRESSONEY SAINT JEAN CLIMBING GYM: just before the centre of the village, at the "Sport Haus" municipal hall. Boulder wall with crash pads and a 10-metre wall.
CHILDREN'S CLIMBING AREA: located in Gressoney-La-Trinité, opposite the Punta Jolanda chairlift (on the other side of the river). The facility includes a small via ferrata, a Tibetan bridge, and a zip-line descent. (An alpine guide companion is highly recommended)
To the left of the via ferrata: 5 slab climbs of grade 3. To the right of the via ferrata: 4 climbs with artificial holds with difficulties ranging from 4 to 6a.
