The Vincent Pyramid, first climbed back in 1819 by the mining engineer Jean-Nicolas Vincent (after whom the peak is named), is a 4,000-metre peak (4,215 m) that can be reached via an easy glacier hike. It does not present major technical difficulties, but it takes place on a crevassed glacier, thus requiring the team to move roped together. From the summit of the Pyramid, you can contemplate the majesty of the Alpine arc: the view extends from the Maritime Alps to Mont Blanc and beyond. 

If time and weather permit, from the summit you can cross to the col between the two destinations (4,087 m) and climb up towards the Balmenhorn. With a very short, equipped section on vertical rock (fixed rope and metal steps fixed in the rock), you reach the Christ of the Peaks (4,161 m), an impressive work by the Turin sculptor Alfredo Bai. A partisan during the Second World War, he sculpted the Christ the Redeemer as a votive offering for returning home safely from the war. 

The excursion can also be completed in the opposite direction: you can choose to climb first to the Christ of the Peaks and, if time and weather permit, subsequently reach the summit of the Vincent Pyramid.
