Overview
Punta Zumstein 4,563 m: we will follow the route that leads to Capanna Margherita up to the Gnifetti pass, where we will climb the short but exposed snowy ridge and the final rocks leading to the summit. The view over the immense East face of Monte Rosa is truly spectacular.
Period: From June to September
Programme
Day 1:
We will meet at 14:30 at the Staffal lift ticket office for a quick gear check. Then, we will take the lifts together up to Punta Indren (3270 m). From there, a pleasant walk of about an hour brings us to the Città di Mantova refuge (3498 m), where we will settle in for dinner and a cosy overnight stay.
Day 2:
We set off at dawn for our chosen summit. After an inspiring ascent, we will return to Staffal between approximately 15:30 and 16:30.
